Nestled in the rustic beauty of Providence Hill Farm, this hands-on experience will guide you through the fundamentals of operating a traditional wood-fired brick oven, mastering dough fermentation, and creating artisanal bread and pizza—all while embracing the slow, grounding rhythms of nature.

Day 1: Friday Evening 4-8pm
✔ Welcome Gathering & Wood-Fired Oven Introduction
Settle in with herbal tea and light refreshments as we introduce the history, mechanics, and wonder of wood-fired brick ovens. Participate in gathering and preparing wood for the weekend’s baking.
✔ Fermentation & Dough Prep
Discover the art and science of slow fermentation. Learn to mix, and prepare dough for overnight fermentation, developing the deep flavor and texture of traditional breads.
✔ Fireside Refreshments & Reflection
Savor a light, fireside meal and take part in a meaningful discussion about the role of traditional baking in community and culture.
Day 2: Saturday 8 am-4 pm
✔ Morning Bake: Artisan Bread & Breakfast
Wake up to the rich aroma of wood-fired baking. Shape and bake your overnight-fermented loaves and enjoy them alongside coffee or tea and delicious cheeses and preserves.
✔ Afternoon Bake: Pizza Mastery
Learn the secrets of perfect pizza dough. Experiment with seasonal farm-fresh toppings. Bake your own Neapolitan-style pizzas.
✔ Closing Reflection & Takeaways
Receive a workbook with recipes, techniques, and tips. Take home your own freshly baked bread to share with loved ones.
