What is Yoga Therapy?

The yoga tradition views each person as a multidimensional being, interwoven through the five koshas (layers of being)—physical, energetic, mental, wisdom, and bliss. Yoga therapy focuses on identifying and shifting ingrained patterns within these layers that contribute to stress, pain, emotional imbalance, and limiting beliefs. These patterns, shaped by karma, samskara, vasana, and undigested emotions, influence our reactions and life experiences.

As a yoga therapist, my role is to help you recognize and release these patterns so you can step into a place of clarity, ease, and personal empowerment.

I’m Christy (Dharana Shakti), a  Certified Yoga Therapist  with over 20 years of experience in yoga, Ayurveda, and holistic healing, I help clients reconnect with their inner wisdom through movement, breath, and mindful awareness. My passion is guiding others toward lasting transformation by integrating yoga’s ancient wisdom into modern life.

Initial 2-hour consultation (in-depth assessment & personalized plan).

Three 60-75 minute follow-up sessions to deepen your practice and refine your approach.

Individual Follow-Up Session – $80

60-75 minute personalized yoga therapy session.

Sessions are held in person at Providence Hill Farm, offering a peaceful and grounding retreat from everyday life.
